Monoprinting

"Monoprinting is an immediate form of art for me. I quickly block in the colors onto a plexi-glass plate. I take a piece of paper, roll out the excess water, and run it through the press. The first print is always an original, thus the word 'mono' for one print. I run the plexi-glass again through the press for a "ghost print." With Monoprinting, I can later more paint onto the paper or draw in more lines with ink. I love the immediate look of a print, and I do feel free to experiment. Most of my images are drawn from my series from the country, city, and beach."
